We've got lots of different options for students to get involved. So whether it's intramurals, or if it's clubs, we probably have it. But if we don't, if you're interested, if you've got a group of people who want to be involved, we can make it happen. Many of our majors have a club associated with them. So for example, the Biology Club, the Creative Arts and Therapy Club, the Nursing Club is very involved.
It was just a way to understand more of the major itself. Everyone has different ideas and different opinions and just bringing that together, it's just a really good thing to have. Our professional development clubs, they really try to help you to make sure you have a career, make sure you have a stable job after, and just learning different things that you need in the workforce.
Maybe bringing in speakers or bringing them to the outside community to help them engage in their field.
Also, we do have community service projects as well. I think it's important for students to get involved within the community. Once you're in a community, you would like that community to thrive and do well. Just to be a part of it, you'll see the difference. The athletic facilities and gyms are amazing.
We just put a brand new outdoor basketball court on the Albany campus and that's been great already we've got students playing. It's really important to be fully engaged in the classroom and making sure you're staying on top of things but it's also just as important to be engaged outside of class. That's how people meet each other. That's how people make the best of friends and I think that's a huge part of what college is all about.
